How do I login to a Student PC?

It may take up to 48 business hours after completing your enrolment for your account to become active in all our online systems.
Find Your Student ID Number
Your Student ID number is listed on:
- Your enrolment form.
- Your welcome email.
Format:
- Your ID number will start with 2 followed by 7 numbers (e.g., 20001245), or
- A letter followed by 6 numbers (e.g., J123456).
Your Default Password
- If you have already set up Microsoft 365 and changed your password, use your new password for Student PCs and all online systems.
- If you have not yet changed your password, your default password is:
tafewa (all lower-case) and your date of birth (DDMMYYYY)
Example: tafewa14092006
Changing Your Password on a Student PC
If you have not changed your password yet, you will be prompted to do so when you first log in to a Student PC.
Steps:
- Enter your Student ID Number.
- Enter your Default Password.
- Enter your New Password.
- Confirm your New Password.
Once changed, this password will apply to all TAFE systems, including:
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook - student email)
- Student Portal
- Blackboard
Password Requirements
- Minimum 14 characters.
- Any combination of letters and numbers.
- Tip: Use words or phrases you will remember.
Password Expiry
- Your password expires every 6 months.
- Change it before it expires or you will be locked out of all online systems.
How to Change Your Password
On a Student PC: Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE, then select Change a Password
