How do I login to the Student Portal (CiAnywhere)?
Answer
It may take up to 24-48 hours after completing your enrolment for your account to become active in all our online systems.
First you MUST change your default password in either Microsoft 365 (student email) or on a Student PC
If you have already changed your password on a college PC or with a Library staff member, then use the new password you have created.
Access the North Metro Website
https://www.northmetrotafe.wa.edu.au/
- Go to 'Info for'
- Click on 'Student essentials'
- Scroll down and click on 'Student Portal'
- Click on the red 'Student Portal' Link
Login to the Student Portal (CiAnywhere)
Username: Student ID Number
Password: Your Password
The dropdown menu beneath the password field defaults to Domain. You do NOT need to change it. However, if you are unable to log in we recommend that you try the other options in the dropdown. Either: ID or TAFE.
Complete any Tasks Due
From here you can access your results, re-enrol and change your details. But first, check if your 'My Tasks' icon has a number in red. If it does, click on it to find out what tasks require your attention.
Password Expiry
Your TAFE password expires every 6 months - you MUST change it before it expires or you will be locked out of all our online systems.
You can change your password on a Student PC by using CTRL+ALT+DELETE and choosing Change a Password.
Or via the settings in Microsoft 365 (student email) - click on the settings cog in the top right hand corner of your Microsoft 365 account and choose change your password.
Password Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 14 characters and can be any combination of letters or numbers.
- Cannot reuse a password you have already used
- Cannot include your first or surname or your date of birth
