Outlook Error "500: repeating redirects detected"

If you see an error like “500: repeating redirects detected” when logging into Outlook, or you can access everything except the Student Portal, follow these steps to fix the issue.


Step 1: Log Out of All Devices

  • Sign out of all devices where you are logged into Microsoft 365.
  • Wait 30 minutes before proceeding.

 

Step 2: Sign Out Everywhere

  1. Go to: https://myaccount.microsoft.com
  2. Sign in as usual.
  3. On the left menu, select Security Info.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click Sign out everywhere.
  5. Confirm by clicking OK.
  6. You will be asked to sign out—do so now.

 

Step 3: Wait Before Logging Back In

  • Do not log into:
    • Student Portal
    • Microsoft 365
    • Blackboard
    • Any other site that uses the same login
  • Wait at least 30 minutes before signing in again.

Note:
Logging onto a campus computer or connecting to Wi-Fi during this time is fine.
