Can a lecturer or staff member of NMTAFE format shift CD music to an MP3 format?

Short answer NO.
TAFE will need to check that it is not possible to purchase the material in the format required within a reasonable time. As many songs can be purchased online very easily these days, it would need to be investigated first.
Music can be streamed or played (but not copied) from a legitimate source to students in class under Section 28.
